Mills Vest Pocket Slot Machine 5 Cent

Mills Vest Pocket Slot Machine 5 Cent

The Vest Pocket has all the features of the larger casino machines packed into a 9 inch cube. Insert a coin, push in the lever, and spin the three reels. Winning combinations are posted on the top flap and payouts are made through the bottom door. This is a 5 cent denomination machine, if you won the jackpot the player would get one dollar in nickels. The 1930 equivalent of a dollar in today's world is a whopping $18.37.

It has been cleaned and restored and it works perfectly. The cash box is present, the outside has been re-painted, and the lock and key on the back door are the original.

Gambling in the United States in the early 1900”s was  illegal in almost  every State. The Mills Novelty Company of Chicago manufactured  these small slot machines with the intention that they could be quickly hidden under the counter if needed.
